
For families living below the poverty line, even the most basic necessities can become a daily uncertainty. Through the government’s Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) initiative, targeted monthly support is helping to ease that burden — ensuring essentials like food are within reach.

SARA 2026
On 5 January 2026, the Prime Minister’s Office announced the distribution of the SARA 2026 with the SARA Bulanan disbursement for 5 million low-income Household and Senior Citizen recipients on 9 January 2026, followed by 3.1 million Single Individual recipients on 16 January 2026.
The SARA Untuk Semua RM100 one-off will be disbursed on 9 February 2026 to all Malaysian citizens aged 18 and above.
Eligible recipients can shop at over 10,000 selected stores and supermarkets nationwide, and this number is expected to increase over time.
